Overview
Digital Dreamers STEAM Academy is seeking a creative and tech-savvy 3D Printing Instructor to lead engaging, hands-on sessions for elementary students during our Winter Camp.
This position is ideal for someone passionate about design, technology, and inspiring young learners to bring their ideas to life. You’ll guide students through the 3D design and printing process, from brainstorming and digital modeling to printing and showcasing their unique creations.
Your goal will be to help students understand how creativity and technology intersect while encouraging problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation in a fun and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily 3D printing and design sessions for elementary-aged students during the Winter Camp.
Introduce students to basic 3D design concepts using age-appropriate software (such as Tinkercad).
Guide students as they plan, design, and print their own 3D models.
Support creativity by allowing students to explore design challenges and experiment with ideas.
Manage classroom setup, organization of laptops, design tools, and 3D printers.
Ensure safe and responsible use of all materials and equipment.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and hands-on learning environment where every student feels encouraged to create.
Communicate daily updates and feedback with program coordinators.
Assist with camp wrap-up activities such as student showcases or presentations.
Qualifications
Experience teaching or leading STEM or technology-based activities for children.
Familiarity with 3D printing and design tools, preferably Tinkercad or similar platforms.
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
Ability to engage and motivate elementary students in a hands-on learning environment.
Dependable, punctual, and enthusiastic about technology and creative learning.
High school diploma required; college coursework or degree in Education, Engineering, Design, or related field preferred.
Must be 18 years or older and able to pass a background check (Live Scan).
