Overview
Digital Dreamers STEAM Academy is seeking an energetic and creative K-POP Dance & Music Lead Instructor to inspire students through movement, rhythm, and self-expression.
Starting in Winter 2025, this after-school program introduces students in TK–8 to the excitement of K-POP-inspired dance and music, blending choreography, rhythm, and performance into a fun, supportive environment. You’ll help students build confidence, teamwork, and a love for performing arts, all while having fun and moving to the beat!
Key Responsibilities
Lead engaging weekly classes that combine K-POP-inspired dance and basic music exploration.
Teach beginner-friendly choreography, guiding students through rhythm, tempo, and creative expression.
Introduce musical concepts like beat, melody, and timing using interactive games and instruments.
Design simple, age-appropriate routines that encourage participation and showcase students’ progress.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and creative environment where students feel supported and confident.
Coordinate with site leaders and program coordinators to ensure smooth class operations.
Encourage collaboration and celebrate student creativity through performances or class showcases.
Maintain classroom organization and ensure all materials and equipment are cared for properly.
Qualifications
Experience teaching or leading dance and/or music activities for elementary or middle school students.
Knowledge of K-POP choreography or other contemporary dance styles.
Confidence leading classes and creating a welcoming, encouraging atmosphere.
Ability to teach basic rhythm and music concepts through games and group activities.
Strong communication, time management, and classroom management skills.
Reliable availability for Wednesdays, 2:00–5:00 PM.
Must be 18 years or older and able to pass a background check (Live Scan).
Passionate about inspiring students through music, movement, and creativity.
Part-Time | Contract | 1-2 Hours per Week
