Overview
Digital Dreamers STEAM Academy is seeking an energetic and creative K-POP Dance Instructor to lead engaging and movement-filled classes for elementary students during our Winter Camp.
This role is perfect for someone who loves music, dance, and working with children in a fun, supportive environment. You’ll introduce students to the world of K-POP-inspired dance, guiding them through rhythm exercises, choreography, and performance while encouraging teamwork, creativity, and confidence.
Your goal is to create a camp experience that blends movement, culture, and expression, helping students find their rhythm and have fun through dance!
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily dance sessions that teach students K-POP-inspired choreography and rhythm fundamentals.
Introduce basic music and movement concepts like tempo, coordination, and expression.
Create age-appropriate routines that balance fun, learning, and creativity.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom where every student feels confident participating.
Encourage teamwork, discipline, and self-expression through group performance activities.
Manage classroom setup, ensure safety, and keep equipment and materials organized.
Adapt activities to fit a range of student skill levels and energy levels.
Communicate daily class updates, attendance, and highlights to program coordinators.
Help plan a final mini-performance or showcase to celebrate student achievements.
Qualifications
Experience teaching or leading dance classes for children, preferably K–5.
Familiarity with K-POP choreography, hip-hop, or modern dance styles.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Energetic, patient, and passionate about working with kids in a camp setting.
Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a fun and structured class environment.
High school diploma required; college coursework or degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or Education preferred.
Must be 18 years or older and able to pass a background check (Live Scan).
