We're looking for a passionate Gardening & STEAM Instructor to lead an engaging after-school program in Redwood City where students explore gardening, environmental science, and hands-on STEAM activities through interactive outdoor learning. Responsibilities: Lead engaging gardening and STEAM lessons using the provided curriculum. Guide students through planting, garden care, and environmental activities. Encourage curiosity, teamwork, and scientific thinking. Prepare lesson materials before each session. Maintain a safe, positive learning environment. Communicate professionally with school staff. Submit brief after-class updates following each session. Schedule: Fridays, 2:45 PM to 3:45 PM. Grades 3-5. Start date September 4, 2026.
What we’re looking for
Experience working with elementary-aged students is required. Comfortable leading outdoor and hands-on activities. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Must maintain clear and timely communication with the program team and submit after-class reports. Must be able to commit to the Fall program schedule. Applicant must reside in Redwood City or within 20 miles of Redwood City.
