This policy explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website and the forms on it. If anything here is unclear, please ask. We would rather explain it than have you guess.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to you and to run our programs. On this website that means the information you type into one of our forms:

Newsletter sign-up, your email address.
Instructor application, your name, email address, phone number, the programs you can teach, your preferred locations, and anything you tell us about yourself.
Callback request, your name, phone number, and your question.
Enrollment and partnership enquiries, the contact and program details you provide.

Information about children

Our programs serve children, but this website is written for parents, guardians, schools, and prospective instructors. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site.

Information about a student, such as their name, grade, allergies, or emergency contacts, is collected from a parent, guardian, or partner school through our enrollment and registration process, not through this website. We use it only to deliver the program safely, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through this website, contact us and we will delete it.

How we use your information

We use the information you give us to reply to your enquiry, process an application, deliver the program you signed up for, meet our safety and record-keeping obligations, and, if you asked for it, send you occasional updates. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share information with service providers who help us operate, and only as far as they need it to do that job. Today that includes Airtable, which stores our form submissions and program records, and our email and hosting providers.

We may also share information where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to protect the safety of a child or staff member. Partner schools and districts receive the information needed to run a program on their site.

Tracking and analytics

This website does not currently run third-party analytics, advertising, or social media tracking. The only thing we store on your device is your cookie choice, so we do not have to ask again on your next visit.

How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and afterwards only where a legal, safety, or accounting obligation requires it. Newsletter subscribers are removed as soon as they unsubscribe.

How we protect it

Access to our systems is limited to staff who need it, and our records are held in access-controlled accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us. You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
