About the role
We are seeking a fun, patient, and enthusiastic After-School LEGO Robotics Instructor to lead hands-on robotics, engineering, and STEM enrichment classes for Kindergarten to 2nd grade students in Sebastopol. This program introduces young learners to foundational concepts in robotics, engineering, coding, mechanics, problem-solving, and computational thinking through LEGO-based building challenges and age-appropriate robotics activities. Students learn by building, experimenting, testing, troubleshooting, creating, and collaborating as they explore how things move and how simple machines, motors, sensors, and basic coding concepts can bring their ideas to life. This position is ideal for educators, college students, recent graduates, robotics instructors, STEAM educators, engineering students, computer science students, makers, and youth enrichment professionals who enjoy working with young children. Curriculum and lesson materials are provided. Schedule: Weekday afternoons, Fall 2026. Kindergarten to 2nd grade.
What we’re looking for
Experience working with young children in Kindergarten to 2nd grade. Interest or background in robotics, engineering, computer science, STEM/STEAM, or early childhood education. Patient and comfortable leading hands-on building activities with young learners. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Reliable, organized, punctual, and professional. Applicant must reside in Sebastopol or within 20 miles of Sebastopol.
