About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, curious, and engaging instructor to lead Mission Mystery, a hands-on forensic-themed science enrichment program for 3rd grade students in Santa Rosa. In this interactive STEM program, students become junior science investigators, using observation, experimentation, evidence, and logical reasoning to solve age-appropriate mysteries. Topics may include fingerprints, chromatography, handwriting analysis, invisible messages, mystery powders, patterns, measurement, and microscopy. The emphasis is on scientific inquiry and discovery, not crime or graphic content. Students learn how scientists observe carefully, gather information, test ideas, compare evidence, and reason toward conclusions. Curriculum and lesson materials are provided. Schedule: Weekday afternoons, Fall 2026. Grade 3.
What we’re looking for
Experience working with elementary-aged students. Interest or background in science, biology, chemistry, forensic science, STEM/STEAM, or education. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Comfortable leading hands-on experiments and investigative activities. Reliable, organized, punctual, and professional. Able to commit to the Fall 2026 schedule.
