About the role
We're looking for an engaging STEM Instructor to lead Coding & Robotics classes for middle school students in Menlo Park. Students explore programming, robotics, engineering, and computational thinking through hands-on projects using beginner-friendly coding platforms and educational robotics kits. Responsibilities: Lead engaging coding and robotics lessons using the provided curriculum. Facilitate hands-on robotics challenges and programming activities. Encourage creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Prepare lesson materials before each session. Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment. Communicate professionally with school staff. Submit brief after-class updates following each session. Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:20 PM to 4:20 PM. Grades 5-8. Start date September 1, 2026.
What we’re looking for
Experience working with middle school students is preferred. Experience teaching coding, robotics, STEM, or technology-related programs. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Must maintain clear and timely communication with the program team and submit after-class reports. Must be available throughout the Fall program. Applicant must reside in Menlo Park or within 20 miles of Menlo Park.
