About the role
We're seeking an experienced Computer Science Instructor to teach engaging Coding & Robotics classes for upper elementary students during the school day in San Francisco. Students learn foundational coding concepts, computational thinking, and robotics through interactive, project-based lessons. This position is best suited to educators with strong classroom teaching experience who are confident managing an in-school classroom environment. Responsibilities: Teach engaging coding and robotics lessons using the provided curriculum. Guide students through programming and robotics projects. Foster critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Prepare instructional materials before each class. Maintain a structured, positive classroom environment. Communicate professionally with school staff. Submit brief after-class updates following each session. Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, approximately 8:40 AM to 11:00 AM (two one-hour classes per day). Grades 4-5. Start date September 1, 2026.
What we’re looking for
Previous classroom teaching experience is strongly preferred. Experience teaching coding, robotics, computer science, or STEM. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Reliable, organized, and professional. Must maintain clear and timely communication with the program team and submit after-class reports.
