About the role

We are seeking energetic and dependable Soccer Assistant Instructors to lead and support elementary-level after-school enrichment programs in San Jose for the Fall 2026 season. Instructors help organise and lead engaging sports activities that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence and physical activity in a positive learning environment. This role is ideal for coaches, educators, college students and anyone who enjoys working with young learners through active, interactive programming. Responsibilities: Lead elementary team sports enrichment classes during after-school hours. Organise age-appropriate sports games, drills and group activities. Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, participation and positive behaviour. Create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment. Manage activity behaviour while ensuring student safety. Submit a brief after-class report following each session. Communicate professionally with program staff and school personnel. Schedule: Wednesdays, 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. Kindergarten to 5th grade. Start date September 18, 2026.

What we’re looking for

Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred. Background in coaching, sports instruction, physical education or a related field preferred. Strong leadership, communication and classroom management skills. Reliable, punctual and professional. Must be authorised to work in the United States. Applicant must reside in San Jose or within 20 miles of San Jose. A background check is required prior to employment, and all mandatory training must be completed before the program starts.
