About the role
We're looking for an engaging and adaptable Hands-On STEAM Instructor to lead an after-school STEAM Innovation Lab for upper elementary students. This program introduces students to age-appropriate science, technology, engineering, art, and math concepts through interactive projects, engineering challenges, and collaborative problem-solving. Students will explore, experiment, and think like young innovators as they test ideas, improve designs, and develop creative solutions in a supportive, hands-on learning environment. Responsibilities: Lead engaging STEAM lessons using provided curriculum and activities. Facilitate hands-on projects, engineering challenges, and design-based learning experiences. Encourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving. Guide students through experimentation, testing, and iterative design. Maintain a safe, organized, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. Prepare and organize materials before each session and assist with cleanup afterward. Communicate professionally with school staff and follow all site procedures. Schedule: Fall 2026 Afterschool Program (Aug 27 - Dec 17, 2026).
