About the role
We're looking for a passionate and engaging Robotics Instructor to lead hands-on after-school robotics programs for elementary and middle school students. This role combines technology, engineering, coding, creativity, and problem-solving to help students explore robotics through fun, project-based learning. Whether students are building their first robot or taking on more advanced engineering challenges, you'll create an environment where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and learning is both engaging and rewarding. Responsibilities: Lead engaging robotics lessons using provided curriculum. Facilitate hands-on building, coding, and engineering activities for students across multiple grade levels. Guide students through the design, build, test, and improvement process. Encourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and perseverance. Adapt instruction to accommodate different skill levels and learning styles. Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment. Prepare robotics equipment and lesson materials before each session. Communicate professionally with school staff and follow all site procedures. Schedule: Fall 2026 Afterschool Program (Aug 25 - Dec 17, 2026).
What we’re looking for
Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings. Comfortable facilitating hands-on robotics and STEM activities. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Reliable, organized, professional, and adaptable. Ability to confidently lead engaging group learning experiences. Preferred: Background in robotics, engineering, computer science, STEM, education, or a related field. Experience with educational robotics platforms, coding instruction, or engineering projects. Experience teaching enrichment classes, camps, clubs, after-school programs, or youth activities. Passion for inspiring students through technology, innovation, and hands-on learning.
